The installation is composed of 200 miniature flip-flops and turquoise pigment arranged on a glass surface to create an artificial landscape. Each small object was handmade through a repeated manual process.
The work began after the artist encountered abandoned flip-flops in the urban landscape of her city, traces left behind by people in movement.
Through miniature scale and repetition, the flip-flops become markers of absence rather than direct representations of bodies. The work turns a lost everyday object into a fragile trace of displacement, movement
and uncertain evidence.
